Precision-cast 304 stainless steel
The bear figure is cast one by one in 304 stainless steel by the lost-wax method in our Istanbul atelier, then finished by hand. Because every piece is cast individually, small variations in texture and surface are part of its handmade character.
Display it on its glass stand
Use it as a bottle stopper, or rest it on the removable glass stand included in the set and let it stand as a sculpture on your desk or shelf when not in use. The food-safe, BPA-free stopper helps keep wine fresh.
Finish options
Available in three finishes: black, metallic grey and polished grey, so you can match your existing barware or choose the tone that suits the person you are gifting.
Care
After each use, remove the inner stopper, rinse it with lukewarm water and dry with a soft cloth. Wipe the steel figure with a microfibre cloth; do not wash in a dishwasher. When not in use, keep it on its glass stand away from direct sunlight.

The Bear Among the Stars
In the stories of ancient Greece, the bear is the hero of a tale written across the sky. Callisto, a companion of the huntress goddess Artemis, is turned into a bear in one telling by the wrath of a god; years later her own son Arcas, hunting in the forest, comes face to face with her. Zeus will not let either be lost, and sets mother and son among the stars: the Great Bear and the Little Bear. “Arktos” is Greek for bear, and the Arctic takes its name from that very constellation.
This stopper’s bear carries that commanding stance: upright on two legs, head high, quiet strength. It is produced in our atelier by investment casting: a hand-shaped wax model, a refractory mould, then 304 stainless steel poured at high heat. Every ripple of the fur stays legible on the hand-finished surface.
The food-safe inner stopper keeps wine from air; when not in use, the figure rests on its removable glass stand. It comes in three colour options. Like Callisto’s bear lifted into the heavens, this sculpture holds a steady light on your table against the night.
